Encounter with
beef on the hoof
Ronald Patterson, while driving
west on Highway 287, last Friday
night about 9:30 had the misfor-
tune of hitting a cow that ran
in front of his car. The accident
occured on the highway just
north of the Bland Alexander
farm.
The car scooped the cow up,
throwing her on top of his car,
denting the top, but not breaking
the glass. It is reported the cow
was still alive, bright-eyed and
bushy-tailed following the acci-
dent. Fortunately Ronald was not
injured.
According to one report, this
is one way of making beef go up.
However, Ronald had rather not
be the recepient of the up-grade.
