Hi gang!
Well the other day I heard the
loudest comotion. I had been
asleep in the vacated school books
that hadn't been used since last
spring. What was it? Say school
had started again of course. And
a good start it was too. The
football boys have already won
one ball game and on the road
to many more victories! I heard
everyone talking about the fair
and since I had never been be-
fore I decided to go and see just
ivhat it was all about. I decided
to ride up with Janie H. She a-
jreed to let me tag along. When
I arrived I was astounded. Never
n all my life had I seen anything
juite like it. There were cows
Jigs, rabbits, and all kinds of
ixhibits. Janie had to tell me
til about them.
Well since Janie was so nice to
>ring me I just decided to eat
vith her since I hadn't eaten in
he last 40 minutes. We decided
0 go out on the midway. I was
old that all kind of rides were
>ut there and I though this would
fun. Presently I saw Presly Y.,
Jetty Ransom, Eddie Bartley, La
uan, and Phil. I hollared very
oud for them to wait for me be-
ause there were huge bears all
round me. Jan H. and Jo Ann
r- came along to save me. They
xplained they were just stuffed.
Itill being careful I approached
stand and there was a man
/ithout a body. Gosh what next?

he was having a good time in
his creepy place. She said yes.

stack of dishes a mile high,

was there I was happy to see
Lillie. She was with some toy. I
was introduced to him. His name
is Jack. Man I never saw so
many beautiful figures! These
girls came out in all kinds of
bathing suits. They started away
back before I was even born, and
went on up to '59. I mean to
tell you I'm going to stay around
till then. The swimmers were all
very good. I enjoyed this very
much. I decided to make one
final trip around the midway. I
didn't see anyone else. The trip
was wasted because I didn't see
anyone to ride home with. Finally
a large truck driver told me he
was headed towards Claude and
that he would give me a lift. I
got here safe and sound. I was
real tired whenl got back to the
school house. I know that I
didn't get three hours of sleep.
Ho hum. I'm getting so tired now
that I can't even hit the right
key.

I was purchased today at the
bookstore. My new owner flipped
through me and used me during
class, then threw me in his locker.
October
Dear Diary,
I've been written in, drawn in,
my corners are bent, and I think
my back is beginning to loosen.
I still haven't been home for
study.
November
Dear Diary,
My owner took me home and
studied me for about ten minutes!
There's a big test tomorrow.
December
Dear Diary,
Back to the locker again. Christ-
mas is coming and I'll have a
nice long rest. Oh, my aching
pages.
January
Dear Diary,
A new year has begun. The
first day after vacation I was tak-
en out of my desk corner and stu-
died lightly. My owner must have
made a resolution! (Mid - term
exams are coming up)
February
Dear Diary,
I am in a strange locker! I
think my owner put me in the
wrong one. Oh, woe is me. I
don't like it here under all these
coats, books, boots and no tell-
ing what else!
March
Dear Diary,
I'm still here. Beginning to
get used to it, after two months.
Some strange person used me
today and wrote all over me. I
look a fright.
April
Dear Diary,
Home at last? My owner found
me and used me about five
minutes. My back is hurting — it
hangs on by only three threads
now.
May
Dear Diary,
Man, have I been used this
month! Something about final
exams, and my owner is really
cramming. My back finally came
