THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF NACOGDOCHES x
Know all men by these _ that J. George Woldert of the County of
San Augustine and State aforesaid in consideration of Eighty Dollars to me in
hand paid by Elisha Lott of the County of Smith.
Have granted, bargained and sold and released unto Elisha E. Lott a
certain headright certificate calling for six hundred and forty acres of land
being located in the County of Smith, one half of the headright of Samuel
Brooks the conditional proven up in the County of San Augustine, the unconditional
certificate proven up in the County of San Augustine on the 5th day of
February A.D. 1844 No. 499 conveyed to me by Samuel Brooks on the twelfth day
of February A.D. 1844 and recorded in the County Clerk's office in the County
of Nacogdoches together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments
and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any way incident or appertaining.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all and singular the above mentioned certificate
of parcel of land unto the said Elisha E. Lott, his heirs and assigns forever
and I do hereby transfer all my right, title and interest unto the said Elisha
E. Lott his heirs and assigns forever against any person or persons whomsoever
lawfully claims the same or any part thereof.
WITNESS my hand and seal this 24th day of March A.D. 1847.

Personally appeared before me, J. C. Hill, one of the subscribing
witnesses to the within deed who acknowledges his signature as such and being

and consideration therein stated.
GIVEN under my hand and private seal of office at Tyler on the 12th
day of April A.D. 1847.
