Notes

An attached newspaper clipping reads, "The the fairest lady in Fort Worth" was, in all probability, just what W.A. Garner, manager of the Fort Worth Mail-Telegram, was saying when he presented this horse and phaeton to Miss Lizzie Rodgers, as first prize in the May queen contest conducted by the newspaper 41 years ago. The festivities took place in Herman Park. Miss Rodgers now is Mrs. T. C. Bunch, 926 East Terrell Avenue."
