Alumni and Ex-Students
THE Ex-Students Association feels very grateful to the class of 1935 for alloting
us a page in the Bronco. This generosity on their part is another recognition
by a vital HSU organization that the Ex-Students Association has an important part,
as well as a great responsibility, in the building of a great institution at Abilene.
It is the earnest desire of the entire executive staff of the Ex-Students Association
that every individual alumnus or ex-student acknowledge his obligation to his Alma
Mater and be about the business of doing his duty.
Never before could we pull back the veil obscuring the future and vision of a
brighter day than now. Her glorious past, wrought out with the life blood of those
who have guided and carried her through the darkest days of modern civilization, is
enough to challenge the very heroic in us all. ALUMNI! Wake up! Let's rededicate
our whole future to doing our part in building one of America's greatest institutions
right here in the Southwest-"Where the West really begins."
To the Class of 1935: You are now Alumni. Your Alma Mater has made you
men and women from boys and girls. Your loyalty and fidelity have meant a lot to
the Institution, but you will never repay her for what she has done for you. This,
you will realize only as time seasons your mind. We, therefore, urge that you now
become active and enthusiastic members of the Alumni and Ex-Students Association.
