MRS. JULIOUS WALKER
Maill
a floor length gown of lace
and tulle. The lace formed the
bodice with a scalloped neck-
line and a deep "V" in the
back. The long sleeves tapered
to points over the hands and
were fastened with tiny cover-
ed buttons. The skirt fell in
tiers from a queen's crown of
pearls and irridescent sequins.
She carried out the tradi-
tional something old, new,
borrowed and blue, and a
penny in her shoe, and carried
a white Bible centered with a
white orchid with feathered
carnations and lily of valley.
Mrs. Samm^ Wells, sister of
the bride, was matron of hon-
or. She wore a dress of red
embroidered taffeta that was
street length in front and tap-
ered to floor length in back.
She carried a nosegay of white
feathered carnations.
Brides maids were Miss
Nancy Brittian and Mrs. Ger-
ald Hampton of Dallas. They
wore dresses identical to the
matron'of honors.
Charles Abernathy of Long-
view was best man. Grooms-
men were Gerald Hampton
Mervil Bell, both of Dallas.
Ushers were Hershel Welch
and Gary Thomas, brother of
the bride.
For her daughter's wed-
ding, Mrs. Thomas chose a
beige embroidered dress with
matching accessories. Her cor-
sage was an orchid.
Immediately following the
ceremony, a reception was
held in the church.
Mrs. Bobby Calhoun, cousin
of the bridegroom, presided at
the guest book. Mrs. Charles
Mather, Mrs. Charles Martin,
Mrs. Robert Kennedy and Mrs.
Lenoy Slider served punch
and cakes.
The bride's table was laid
with a white net tablecloth
over white taffeta and deco-
rated with the bride's chosen
colors of red and white.
For a wedding trip through
Arkansas and Tennessee, the
bride chose an orange and
white suit with white accesso-
ries. She pinned the orchid
from her bridal bouquet at her
shoulder. The couple will re-
side at 7702 Claremont, Dallas.
