Mrs. J. II. Lipscomb was hostess
at her home Thursday for the Feb-
ruary business and social meeting
of the Home Builders Sunday
school das- of the First Methodist
church.
A covered dish luncheon was
served, after which officers were
elected for the ensuing year. Mrs.
Lipscomb was re-elected president
and Mrs. E. C. Masters was elect-
ed secretary and treasurer.
Mrs. ('. G. Yager read a writeup
of a luncheon and program given
by the Woman's Missionary Socie-
ty about 10 years ago, which pro-
voked much reminiscing. The next
class meeting will be held at the
home of Mrs. ('. R. Lieb March 20.
Mrs. J. T. Lowery led the clos-
ing prayer.

The Sallie Matthews Missionary
society met in the parlor of the
Presbyterian church Monday af-
ternoon with the president, Mrs.
Louis Green, presiding. Mrs. Gene
I'ickard and Mrs. .). A. Owen dis-
cussed the first chapter, 'Why Do
They Do It," in the new study
book, "Committed Unto Us" by
Willis Lamott.

The mantel, banked with lemon
leaves and other greenery, was
centered with tan-shaped arrange-
ment of pink gladioluses. Mrs.
Norman Brewer, cousin of the
bride, played the traditional wed-
ding march on the accordion as
the bridal party entered.
The bride wore a tailored suit
of wintei white -heel wool with
fawn colored accessories, and cor-
sage of pink carnations. She car-
ried a white Bible topped with
pink ,-weet peas and showered with
white satin streamers knotted with
white stock. She wore a three
strand pearl necklace, gift ot the
j bridegroom, and for something old
a plain gedd bracelet belonging to
a great aunt, Mr R. I. Sander-
ford of Wichita Falls.

The Albany Auxiliary will be
honored at a tea Saturday after-
noon in Eastland at the 17 District
convention which meets in East-
land Saturday and Sunday. All
members of the auxiliary are in-
vited to attend. Mrs. Boyce Nich-
ols directed games.
Emphasizing the George Wash-
ington motif, the table was center-
ed with a cherry tree and cherry
pie and coffee were served.
