tree, and tiny owla were among the
branches.
Guests were received in the cafeto-
rium, for a social hour, by-Mrs. Viv-
ian Baxter, chairman «•( American Ed-
ucation week, and Mra Una Bell
Carrington. chairman of felicitations
and cuurteslea committee. Committee
raembera aaMsting were Mrs. Clarice
Jackaou, chairman of Interior beauti*
fixation committee; Mina Guseie Mill-
holland. and Mrs. Autry Wilson.
TTie service table waa covered with
a beautiful white dsmask cloth. The
centerpiece wss sn apple tree with
beautiful red sstln apples, green Tel
▼et leaves; butterflies and tiny birds
were perched here snd there in the
tree. Coffee was ponred from silver
services st either end of the table,
sweet rolls were also served to the
guests. Colorful TCankagivlng nap-
kins were used.
The guests expressed genuine sp-
preciation and enthusiasm for the
beauty of the room and behavior of
the children. They also mentioned
they had gotten numerous ideas for
their acboola

Last Tuesday evening, at 912 Daw-
son atreet, Mrs. Ollie Ben Harrison
and Miss Mable Levi son were host-
eaws to the Hill Top Friends. De-
votion! wave led by the chaplain. W.
C. White. The president conducted
the business session.
Plans were discussed for the club's
project, the Christian Education and
Welfare association, and Christmas
sunshine gifts.
A delectable menu was served, and
Mrs. Fannie Smith expressed appre-
ciation to the hostesses.

the sick and shut-ins, and will be
completed at the next meeting, in De-
cember. A delicious repast waa served
by the hosts.
