Ready, Aim, FIRE
Is someone putting the heat on
Bob Saehloff at the reunions? Last
year, he arrived a day early at S^n
Francisco to visit with friends be-
fore the reunion. What happens;!?
The city had a three alarm fire.
He arrived a day early in Minn-
eapolis to visit with P^ul McGuirs,
manager of the Farmington, Minn.
American Legion. What happened?
While at the Legion bar a fireman
came running in and shouted, "Hey
fellows you got to see this one, its
going to be a good one". Sure
'nough, right across the street two
buildings were in the process of
burning to the ground. Ssehloff
has agreed not to arrive a day early
in Rochester.
495th Has Best 1st Sgt.
When the 494th challenged the
495th to find out who had the best
1st Sgt., they put up T. K. Clement
as their champion. The 495th ent-
ered Fred Erichsen. The contest
consisted of eating three marsh-
mallows and then trying to blow
the whistle. The 495th's Fred Erich-
sen took the title by meeting the
requirements and getting a whistle
into the air before his opponent.
Any challengers for Rochester?
Charlie Quici (B-714th)
Suffers Heart Attack
Charles J. Quici, former Historian
and Chairman of the Detroit Re-
union in 1967, suffered a heart at-
tack on June 19th. He is doing
nicely undar "Bibby's" care and is
racking plans for the 1975 reunion.
. . . and then the checking in with our old reliable
secretary Harold.
