there was no denying the rest of the familiar features and
family histories proved blondes issued from both sides. Joseph
Sr.'s mother insisted he was just as fair when he was a child,
which was hard to fathom when you looked at this dark skin
along with the hair and eyes.
Ten days in a ward with nine other women, all older, with
defense plant working husbands to visit them daily.
Dreams were fulfilled—a beautiful, healthy boy child for a
proud soldier father to brag about and a young mother to dote
on.
Happy Times—Sad Times—have gone so quickly. Our
blessings have been counted over and over again!
Hellcat Woman of the Year Award
Members of the 12th Armored Division Association are urged
to make known their nominees for the 1992 HELLCAT
WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD to be given at the annual
reunion in Louisville, Kentucky. Those persons making nomi-
nations are urged to include a brief statement of the facts that
they believe to be a basis for such an honor. The nominations
should be sent in at your earliest convenience. The deadline for
nominations for HELLCAT WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD
will close JUNE 30, 1992. Please send an original letter of
nomination to the Chairman and a copy to the other committee
members.
