Editor's Comments
Page 2 of this September issue of the Hellcat News contains
the names of the Association officers and directors that were
elected at our National Reunion in Indianapolis, EST, on Saturday
morning, Aug. 7, 2010. Because of time constraints it was not
possible to include a lot of Reunion information in this issue
but I suspect our Battalion columns will contain quite a bit,
including photographs, in our October issue.
The officers and directors that were elected (which comprise
our seven-person executive council) consists of three men and
four women, all legacy members with one exception, Ed Pierce,
A/56th Infantry, who is the only veteran on the council. Two of
the women are the wives of our living veterans.
I have not been given exact Indianapolis attendance figures
as yet, but our total attendance was in the neighborhood of 280
people. About 50 veterans came and total attendance at our
Saturday morning business meeting was about 120 people.
The 2011 reunion being chaired by Peggy Anne Vosseler,
will be in the Washington, DC, area, and the reunion for 2012
will once again be held in Abilene, TX, the home of the 12th
Armored Division Museum.
Our thanks go to Barbara Campbell and all her assistants
for putting together a most enjoyable and successful reunion in
Indianapolis.
Respectfully submitted,
John E. Critzas, A Co 714th Tank Bn.
