JAN. 1966 — NEW YEAR'S ISSUE
NO. 5
REMINDER ON
JANUARY MEETING
The January -meeting of
the executive council members
and officers of the association
plus any interested members
able to attend will be held in
the Alhambra Suite of the Sher-
aton Chicago Hotel, Chicago,
111. at 10:00 AjM. on Saturday,
January 22, 1966. Those plan-
ning to attend should contact
Bernard Bomlbassaro of 113 Ari-
zona Ave., Joliet, 111. who is
Chicago reunion chairman and
arranger of this meeting. The
purpose of this meeting is to
finalize plans for our coming
"Big 20th Annual Reunion" with
to go over any other associa-
tion business of current im -
portance. The meeting is at-
tended at the member's own
expense but Bamby will take
care of the reservation if a
member desires to attend.
119th ENG. BN. AT REUNION
ASSOCIATION
SECRETARY ASKS
TO BE RELIEVED
Due to the increased pres-
sures of business and other
outside activities Secretary
Larry Mintz has indicated his
intentions to resign at the end
of the 1965-66 association year.
After nine years of service he
feels that he is no longer in the
position to handle this office
im the most efficient manner
which is necessary to keep an
association such as ours run-
ning smoothly.
It is with a deep personai
regret that he tenders his
resignation as the association
with it's members, it's prob-
lems and it's progress has be-
come a part of his life. How-
ever he is certain that among
our members there is a man
who will step forward and take
over the duties of the secre-
tary and be able to carry on
more efficiently and perhaps
with some new and fresh
ideas.

HELLCATS
NEWS FROM
William Holt (A/ill») R 3-
Box 35, Baudette, Minn. 56623:
"My last reunion attendance
was in Chicago so we will
just have to make it an an-
niversary and make this com-
ing one in August. I t h a n k
you fellows are doing a terrific
job in getting out the numbers
that you do for the reunions.
I belong to several associations
and clubs that have been in
existence for many years, and
we don't do as well getting out
members to national conven-
tions as you boys do con-
sidering the conditions."
John E. Stuerwald (SV/714)
50 Sycamore Ave., Shrewsbury,
N.J.: - "There is just my wife
Bette and myself and I am
assistant manager of the Fraud
and Arson Bureau of the A-
meriean Insurance Associa-
tion. Joined the 12th in Octo-
ber, 1942. Eventually wound
up in the 7!14th Tk Bn after
various stopovers in other
units of the division. Current-
ly Colonel commanding the
1323rd Log Cmp (B) Hq and
Hq Det. Ft. Monmouth, N.J.
Unfortunately I haven't run
into any old members in sev-
eral years. Say "hello" to all
old friends."
Lambert Hary (HQ/494)
1306 Longview Ave., Aliquippa,
Pa. 15001: - "Here are my
dues and don't forget to send
the Hellcat News to my friend
Walter Hudzik of 39 Ward St.
Clifton, N.J." Ed. note: Your
request is ail taken care of,
Hary."
Herbert O. Pinno (A/134)
2521 Shirley, Ft. Worth, Texas
76109: - "So sorry we could
not make Cleveland but hope
we can be in Chicago for 1966."
Ed. note: We'll be looking
forward >to seeing you and Der-
by, Tex. The 134th just wasn't
quite the same without you
two and you were really miss-
ed.
John P. O'Reilly (HQ/56)
RON, 2939 Harrington Avenue,
Bronx 611, New York: - "Just
got back from Alsace and Ger-
many. Everything rebuilt. Go
every year now. Keeps im-
proving each year. The 12th
still has friends in Germany."
Kenneth D. Rude (B/66) R-
D. 2, Mexico, N. Y. 13)114: -
"I farm for a living and the
wife and I have three chil-
dren. Are there any members
of the anti-tank platoon of "B"
Co. who are presently mem-
bers of the association?" Ed.
note: Check your roster, Ken
and it's good to have you as
a member.
