Maneuvers in Bag
-A to Z-for Neat
Hellcat Corporal
So you think you have trouble
with your "A" and "B" bags? Just
listen to the tale of Cpl John Wil-
son, Serv Co, Blue Armd Inf Regt.
Wilson wanted to stay neat at
all times while on maneuvers, pro-
viding himself with an extra bag
or two. Somehow the collection
grew until he now has an assort-
ment, big and little, that range
from "A" to "Z." The collection
was accidentally discovered when
Wilson, thinking himself unob-
served, began a search for his
socks.
From his "A" bag he produced
two other bags that were fairly
roomy. Then from each of these
he began to extract bag after bag,
small bags and large bags, of as-
sorted shapes and sizes, each la-
beled with a letter of the alphabet.
When this amazing array was
finally laid out completely, the cor-
poral calmly took his socks from
a bag marked "S."
Reports from Wilson's company,
where he has earned the title of
the Alphabet Man, are that he has
a filing system for his various ar-
ticles of clothing and equipment.
"S" is for socks and shaving ma-
terial; "J" for jacket, field; "P"
for his pipe assortment; and so
on through the alphabet.
The boys are still watching to
find out what he keeps in his "Z"
bag.
