12th Armored Division 58th National Reunion Details
Three hotels will be available to us in Abilene. The Ambassador, which will be the Headquarters Hotel, the
Marriott which is right next door, and the Civic Plaza which is in the downtown area of Abilene. Our museum
is six relatively short blocks from the Civic Plaza Hotel.
We have scheduled two tours to occur Thursday and Friday afternoons.
Buffalo Gap Historic Village where the American bison once roamed along with the Comanche Indians.
Today it is a chronological complex of restored structures from 1875 furnished with exhibits to tell the story of
the incredible transformation that was the last 50 years of the Western Frontier.
Frontier Texas is the newly opened 25 million dollar facility where you can experience the big picture of what
happened between 1780 and 1880 in this new multi-media facility on seven acres in downtown Abilene.
12th Armored Memorial Museum will be the focal point of our 58th Reunion. During our reunion, the
museum will remain open to accommodate visitors.
