ased the Hemphill Office and
home. Mr. Cotter is moving to
Albany from Richardson,
where he has been employed
for eight years as secretary ! John Rose, Albany postmast-

HAS MORE SURGERY
Kathy Stom, who recently
had a kidney transplant in
Parkland Hospital, Dallas, had
more surgery last week accord-
ing to information given Mrs.
Tom Garrett. An aneurism de-
veloped in an artery leading
to the transplant, necessitating
the surgery.
Kathy was reported doing
well.
There is a need for blood for
the Stoms. It is understood
blood can be donated in Abi-
lene and credited to the Stoms
at Parkland.

Tuesday Eve
Marge Bray Dance Studio
will present its large class in
recital Tuesday evening, June
2, at the high school auditor-
ium beginning at 8:15.
Theme of the recital is the
twelve phases of the Zodiac.
Mrs. Bray ami her staff, and
parents have been at work all
week preparing for the recital,
which is always an excellent
presentation of students of all
ages.
Mrs. Bray states that every-
one is invited to see the recital.

in recognition of his service.

County Memorial Hospital at
3:45 Wednesday morning. He
had been ill for some time and
entered the hospital Tuesday.
Funeral will be held at the
First Baptist' Church Friday

Burial will be in the Albany
Cemetery under direction of
Godfrey Funeral Home.
Arthur Fisher Atwell was born
in Coffman County March 5,
1903.

in Waurika, Okla. The family
came to Albany 26 years ago,
where he has been contract

He was a member of the
Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife,
Thelma, and two sons, Jerry
of Burleson and Donald of
Denison. Also surviving are
fivo grandchildren, two sisters
and three brothers.

The funeral was held at 5:00
p. m. Friday with the Rev. H,
C, Knight, assisted by Rev. Joe
A. Webb, officiating.
Burial was in Ledbetter
Cemetery, located just over the
line in Throckmorton County
and two miles west of the Al-
bany-Throckmorton highway.
The cemetery is on property
that belonged to Mrs, Ledbet -
poppy chairman of the local
Auxiliary, and C, L. Wood is
scoutmaster of Troop 55. These
volunteer workers will offer the
memorial flower, any donation
acceptable, to provide Albany
people with an opportunity to
honor the war dead and assist
