I MR JAMES REAGOR, native Abilenian,
is the Coordinator for the local northside
poverty program. Supervising (3)
three persons on his staff, and working
with hundreds of citizens, Mr, Reagor
has done an outstanding job during the
past six months,
Some of the achievements of IMr Reagor
and his staff include the finding
of over 30 children to participate in
the Headstart Program that had b e en
overlooked. Numerous persons in need
of food, medicine, and other necessities
have been given aid by agencies
contacted by him and his staff.
He has just completed a sample survey
of the northside poverty pocket to
help decide what programs are needed to
help citizens better their ways of live
ing. He and his staff are housed inthe
Carver Recreation Center, at N, 8th and
During his days at Woodson High , Mr.
Roagor was voted Woodsonts Hlost Outstanding
Industrial Student. While in School,
he exhibited outstanding talents in the
field of music, band and piano, industrial
arts, 2nd art. People have been
amazed at his natural ability in art.
Past work experience includes working
at I Syston Food Store for two yrs.
cabinet making at Glen Cutting Cabinet
Co., and seven years as receiving clerk
at W.T. Grant Co.
