hook," said Browning, "under
Albany Veterinary Clinic, and
under my name. Now it's just
listed under Albany Veterinary
Clinic, and since only a few
people know my business by
that name, many customers
have Started calling my home to
find me. My wife works and
very often, clients get no answer
there."
The telephone mixup is a
definite inconvenience, Brown
ing said, because many times he
is needed in a hurry. "I pointed
out the mistake to the telephone
company and when they realized
what they'd done, they started
taking some steps to remedy the
situation, but the fact remains
that the number won't appear
under my name again until next
year.
The only thing I can do is pass
the word around," continued
Browning. The veterinarian sue
gests that Albany residents
write the number in the front of
their phone books or near his
name so that it will he more
easily accessible in case of emer
gency.
To add to the confusion,
Browning said, several people
thought that he went out of
business when he recently sold a
piece of land.
" My office is still open from
8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.,'
Browning concluded. The phone
number is 762 3450, with
Browning's residence listed as
762 2200.
