Attempting to Locate a Family Heirloom
' indsie wools'e" Cover let
During an estate auction held at my parent's home, 201
Sherman Street, Nocona, Texas in December 1974, a heir-
loom coverlet of linen and wool ("lindsie-woolsie") was
accidentally included in the Jack and Bernice Lesh Estate
Auction. It was most likely a 4 harnes weave with a warp
of linen and a weft of wool. It has a seam down the mid-
dle and is off white and blue/black.
The pattern name could be Whig Rose or Pine Cone
Bloom. It was woven by my Great Great Aunt Ann Green.
The above photo is of a similar coverlet pattern. Pease
contact Doris Lesh Payne at 940-782-2250 or
dlpayne465@hotmail.com if you have or have informa-
tion about this coverlet.
I would like to pass it on to future generations of Ann's
family or to have it placed in a museum that would pre-
serve it and record its history.
Monetary compensation would be paid for this coverlet.
