DECATUR - Among the
scores of other details the direc-
tors of the new groundwater dis-
trict must watch over, they were
asked at their January meeting
to help the four county district
track applications for new injec-
tion well permits.
At its Jan. 14 meeting, the
Directors for the Upper Trinity
Groundwater Conservation
District (GCD) were asked to
notify the UTGCD's attorney of
any new injection well permits

such applications.
The board later voted to see
if a well tacking firm would also
track injection well permit
applications for all adjoining
counties.
The board voted unanimous-

and Board President Mike
Massey have the authority to
negotiate with injection well
permit applicants and state
agencies on behalf of the dis-
trict.
The board discussed the steps
necessary for it to adopt
"desired future conditions" for
the aquifers within Ground
Water Management Area 8

ties, Wise, Parker, Hood and
Montague). The UTGCD is in
the process of negotiating a con-
