Col. William Barret Travis
wrote his stirring plea to
come to the aid of the
defenders within the walls
of Mission San Antonio de
Valero (The Alamo). Very
little came. As a result, 188
brave men died fighting for
the cause of a free and independent

The "Remember the Alamo!" Campaign*
has been established to improve
the historical context of Alamo
Plaza through a series of educational,
interpretive, and preservation projects.
Your contribution of $150 or more will
support Alamo archaeological studies,
the preservation and restoration of
over 20,000 Alamo artifacts, and
publication of the findings. These are
but a few of the educational and historical
projects that will benefit from
your support of the "Remember the
Alamo!" campaign.
To commemorate this special effort, an
