Foundation. A directory of 19th century Texas
photographers is being prepared by David
Haynes of the Institute of Texan Cultures, and
will be published by THF as a complimentary
document to the Union Guide.
Through these publications and their
images of Texas, the Foundation intends to foster
an awareness of the photographic heritage
of the state. By calling attention to the wealth of
information contained in these photographs, a
great deal more of Texas history will be
