REGULATIONS
REGULATIONS
1. The College year runs for 36 weeks. Entrance examination
and matriculation on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Session
is divided into three terms: Fall Term, Winter Term and Spring
Term. Recitations are six days per week. Students are expected
to be present for opening of College and remain until the close
of Commencement. Students coming without the required fifteen
entrance credits or those who need to take examinations for Coldege
standing, should be present on the dates set for examination
and matriculation.
2. Students should present themselves punctually at the opening
of the session, as absence from a few recitations at the opening
of the session may be a source of serious embarrassment to
the student during the entire period of his College life.
3. Before entering upon his College duties each year, every
student is required to pledge in writing that he or she will not
only observe all regulations while in College, but will exert himself
towards the preserving of order and maintaining the ideals
of the institution.
4. Reports of the work and development of each student are
sent to parents or guardian at the middle and end of each term.
The grades are given by capital letters: A being 90 to 100;
B, 80 to 89; C, 70 to 79; D, 60 to 69; E, 50 to 59; F, below 50.
Withdrawal
1. Any student wishing to withdraw from College for any
reason should consult the President before so doing, and receive
an honorable discharge.
2. Failure to comply with this regulation entails absolute loss
of all returnable fees and possible dismissal from the institution.
Any student desiring any temporary absence from College duties,
or to leave Brownwood, will obtain permission from the President
before absenting himself.
3. Any student absenting himself without permission will be
allowed to remain in College only on probation.21
