BUSINESS DEPARTMENT
We can give you superior advantages in a business course.
T. C. Whiteside, who has charge of this department, is a graduate
of the Draughon Practical Business College, Nashville,
Tennessee, and stands in the front ranks of the teachers of
penmanship.
Here are some of the advantages we offer in our Business
Course:
1. In the Business collges the boy or girl is turned loose
to roam the streets at pleasure. Not so with us.
2. Our course includes Grammar, Composition, Arithmetic,
Geography and Spelling. The student will always find classes
suited to his needs. Many graduates of Business colleges find
after it is too late that they have not sufficient literary training
to keep a position after one is secured. With a good literary
training such as we give with a business course there is no
limit to the possibilities of your advancement.
3. The influence here is the best. Our school is out in
the residence part of the city, and the teachers are all conscientious
Christians.
4. Our course is as thorough as any. We pay special
attention to penmanship, without which you cannot succeed as
a book-keeper. We also offer an introductory course to those
who do not want a complete course in book-keeping.
5. Business students have free access to our societies, library,
and Bible classes.
No matter what your calling in life may be a business course
will be of incalculable benefit to you.
CLASSICAL DEPARTMENT
A course leading to the degree, Bachelor of Arts (B. A.), will
be added as occasion demands.
SINGING
Every one should learn to sing. Every student here will
have, free of charge, sufficient instruction and training to enable
him to sing. Every student is encouraged, but not compelled, to
take advantage of this offer.Abilene Christian College
