course begins with the steps leading up to the Constitutional
Convention; the convention itself; and the testing on the Constitution.

222.-Contemporary American History. Topics: The
leading issues of current politics, social and industrial movements.
Beard's Contemporary American History.
232.-History of Greece. A general survey of Greek history,
tracing the political and intellectual development of the
242.-Roman History. In this course special emphasis is
placed upon the period of the later republic and the early
252.-The chronology of Hebrew history. A study of the
chronology of the history of the Hebrews as given in the Old
Testament together with a careful comparison of the history
of other tribes and races as it touched that of the Hebrews.
262.-The chronology of the Hebrews. A continuation of
253.-Church History. The beginning and history of the
early Christian movement is studied in the first term. The
parrallel reading for the year covers the two volumes of
Church History by Newman. Lectures are given to outline
briefly the beginnings of the church as seen in the New
Testament. The quarter is largely on the Apostolic and Post
Apostolic periods. The study includes the religion of the
Roman Empire together with the sects and dissenting elements
down to the year 600. Text, McGlothlin's Guide to the Study

263.-Church History. This quarter includes the period
from 600 to the Zwinglian reformation. Both eastern and
western churches are studied. The political, racial, economic,
and educational conditions are studied in their bearings on the
