Description

Copy print showing different stages of the demolition of the "Bat Cave," last used as a police station and recorders court, in Military Plaza. The top photo shows men at work demolishing the 12 foot stone wall surrounding the city jail (center structure) behind the Bat Cave. A man driving a wagon is visible at the lower left. The bottom photo shows the front (east) and south facades of the Bat Cave. Wooden shutters and other lumber removed from the building are piled in front. Workmen are visible at the top and bottom of the stairs.
