Supplementary Readings and Comprehensive Examinations
In addition to all regular course examinations, comprehensive examinations in
each of the four required areas will be administered toward the end of the student's
program of study. The student will prepare for these examinations in part through the
formal courses and in part through supplementary readings from a selected
bibliography provided by the faculty.
Field Work
Each student will be required to engage in an approved pattern of practical
experiences which will supplement the formal classes in practical studies. The faculty
will assist the student in making the necessary arrangements for this work.
This requirement may be waived for mature men of proved experience.
Courses of Instruction
All courses listed under this department appear in registration schedules and on
permanent records as "Bible", e.g., "Bible 5373", regardless of the divisional grouping.
In some records a letter follows the word "Bible" to indicate division, e.g., "Bib M
5347" would refer to a course listed under the Missions division. The exception to this
is found in the Biblical Languages division, where course listings have usually been
entered on permanent records according to the language, e.g., "Greek 5326" or"Heb
5371"
