1 Dear Editor
I It appears lo me that you go loo
far when you Imply that those ho
do not agree with your line of thou

afti r all This does not set well with
ru i or our local people
who arc these morons anyway
Many of these old beys are the ones
who keep our school buildings open

rnirOUS NOTT Grady youre
a sick man You read this paper
too thoroughly lo have missed my
dicimlon of the moron vote On
August 25 I HO Section Iage 5
1 wrote Please note we did not
say hat anyone who votes Republican
is a moron We said that anyone
who scratches Kennedys name for
the sole reason that he Is a Catholic
is casting what is generally known
as a moron vote The expression
was coined by none other than llie
old Shivers machine which said that
the Port Arthur Story was Invented
to capture the moron vote In the
1931 gubernatolal election This was
the vele that switched to Shivers because
the Iort Arthur Slory scared
the devil out of them They accept
ed the story at face value vottd for
Shivers then learned the next day
tlut the story was a million dollar
hoax conceived by a Dallas public
relations agency employed to win he
diction for Shivers at ANY cost
If any of our advertisers are voting
GOI > I am quite sure It will not be
due to the religious issue So that
excludes them from the moron vote
Most of the people who buy space
in this paper made what they have
during Democratic administrations
and I want them to continue lo pros
p r so they can keep on buying ad
verllsing space Thats why I am
J working hard for a Democratic victor
Going back through the files
of this newspaper I find that the
vacant stores around the square during
the llcover administration were
nt very good customers of this paper
You and I both know that agriculture
has been on the decline
since 1952 while everything we all
hate to buy has continued to rise
in price Had II not been for our IrI
rigation which enabled farmers In
this area o cope with the farm problem
more effectively than farmers
living In other areas we Tulla business
men would be In far greater
touble Look what happened lo
small owns and farmers down off
the cap There Isnt a Tulla merchant
whose Interests are lied In
with big business We are all little
business and our only hope of
prosperity or even survival deFends
upon agricultural prosperity
And we have never had agricultural
prosperity except under a Democratic
administration Grady If I were
you I dont think I would bring up
the subject of foreign relations In
view of the mess we are now In
which knows no parallel in be his
lory of American diplomacy I fear
for the economic future of Tulla If
we have four more years of Repub
licanism which Is synonymous with
four more years of declining farm
prosperity

THE TUMA Swlsner Count HERALD
We see only wires Hut at this very moment a woman in San
Francisco may be speaking to her husband in Tokyo a boy
at Princeton may be inviting a girl in Albuquerque to a football game
and Mrs Green of U D No 1 may be pbein > her order with
Mr Iirown of the Crossroads Store
Here where sixty wires cling to llu erc33 arms of a weathered
pole the ends of the earth meet
Its like that in our local churches on Communion Sunday
Whether fifty or five hundred receive the Holy Sacrament the
ends of the earth meet For the Lords Supper is not a rite of one
church or one denomination It is the common sacramental feast of
millions of Christians all over the world
Are you availing yourself of this blessed privilege and are you
attending your church regularly As you receive this Sacrament n
your church your life is linked to the lives of Christians everywhere
And you and they aie united in a common communion with God
