insurability and costs.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION 103. Elementary Typewriting.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION 104. Advanced Typewriting Letter
writing, rough draft copying, general business forms, together
with speed and accuracy will constitute the course.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION 105. Elementary Shorthand. An
Elementary course in Gregg Shorthand. The Functional Method
will be used in this course. A great deal of emphasis will be placed on
reading shorthand in the early stages of the course. An effort will
be made to master the fundamental principles of shorthand. Prerequisite
B. A. 104.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION 106. A continuation of course 105.
No credit will be given in shorthand unless at least two courses
are taken.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION 209. Salesmanship. A study of
the economic problems of selling; an analysis of the product and
the market; the interview; building of goodwill; problems
that will develop individuality of student. Prerequisite: Junior
standing.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION 210. Advanced Shorthand. Students
are expected to make 120 words per minute or more on completing
this course. Special emphasis is given to speed in taking
dictation of new material. Students are required to write ten letters
dictated by some business firm before receiving credit in this
course. Prerequisites B. A. 104 and 106.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION 110. Office Training. Letter filing,
stencil cutting, meeting callers, writing telegrams and execution
of legal instruments.
