Abilene Christian College
raising money to buy some needed books, such as Religious
Encyclopedias, Commentaries, Bible Dictionaries, etc. Success
so far encourages us to believe these books, together with some
additional maps, will be added by the opening of next session.
Every student is expected to take part in one of these societies.
This work is an important element in the student's
college life, and plays an important part in fitting him for life's
active duties. In their society work, the boys learn the art of
public speaking and debating.
Students of both sexes have equal privileges in this college.
Under proper restraints each sex exerts a moral and restraining
influence over the other. It is one of the divinely appointed
means of developing character.
Young ladies and young men are not allowed to associate
outside the class rooms, except by special permission of the
Uniforms for Young Ladies
These uniforms are very pretty and cheap. The entire
suit will not cost over $15.00. Extravagance in dress will not
be encouraged, and the young ladies will be expected to wear
their uniforms on all public occasions. These regulations do
not apply to every-day dress, nor to any but boarding students.
We have a beautiful campus, sufficiently large for tennis,
base-ball and other exercises so essential to the health of the
"Do right," is our rule. Students will not be burdened with
useless "don'ts." We shall seek to develop self-respect and
self-control in the student. Students are expected to be ladies
