Dies at Waynoka
Friends here were saddened
to learn ot the death of Mrs
Earl Gamble at Waynoka re-
cently She had been In poor
health IV the past few years
The Gambles made their
home In Canadian for many
years until Mr Gamble n
Santa Fe employee was trans-
ferred to Waynoka several years
ago

leave on their vacation this

Dies Here Saturday
Mrs Carrie L Page passed
away at the hospital here last
Saturday morning at 1030 after
an illness of about a year
Mrs Page was a beloved mem-
ber of the First Christian church
and the Rebekah lodge and was a
faithful worker in both organi
zations Her hobby was collecting
pitchers and she had a wonderful
illectlon from every state In the
Union and from several foreign
countries
Mrs Carrie Lewis Page was
born on Oct 19 1886 to Joseph
and Nancy Lewis at Buford Ohio
She was married to David B
Page at Cheyenne Okla Jan 30
1909 The couple farmed near
Durham for many years and Mr
Page taught school around in the
nearby communities They moved
to Canadian about thirty years
ago and Mr Pago passed away
here in 1922
Mrs Page Is survived by two
sisters Mrs G E Bailey of Cana
dian and Mrs Gertrude DeBord
of Reydon Okla and by three
brothers J E Lewis of Durham
J F Lewis of Clnclnnattl Ohio
and Ira Lewis of Buford Ohio
She Is also survived by several
nieces and nephews
Funeral services were held here
at the First Christian church Sun
day at 400 J > m with the Rev
Thomas A Gray officiating Hub

Me and two other favorite
songs of the deceased were ren
dered by a quartet composed of
