Shorties Edged
By Kennedale
The Shorties, playing their
best offensive game of the
season, still lost a 30 to 29
squeaker to the1 Kennedale Kit-
tens Monday night at Kenne-
dale.
With the exception of their
inability to convert their free
throws, the Shortie forwards
had the best point distribution
so far in district play. Kay
Crenshaw was the games high
scorer with 17 points, Cindy
Foster had eight and Sandra
Dueback added five.
The Shortie defense had a
difficult time after the first •
quarter in holding the speedy
Kittens, who continued to drive
around the sides and down the
middle for the victory margin.
Cedar Hill players partici-
pating in the contest were Kay
Crenshaw, Cindy Foster, San-
dra Dueback, Cindy Knight,
Becky Knight, Phyllis Vines,
Brenda Grashel, Dalaine Bar-
ron, Alicia Moore, Sue Wor-
den, and Marilyn Mitchell.
Coach Ellen Johnson feels
the girls are showing a great
deal of improvement, and if
they continue to improve as
much in the next three weeks
as they have in the past three
weeks, they will be hard to
stop. The next game for the
Shorties will be at Joshua
Jan. 5.
