NOTICE is hereby given that Ramon-Cas
tro, the Chief of the Lipan Indians, jde "
livered to Col. Thos. Wm. Ward in this city.
on the 9th Dec, 1846, in accordance with
the injunctions of the President ofthe United,
States, at the conference held at Washington,
city in 1845, with the Texas friendly Indians,,
and for want of an Indian agent at Austin!
the following animals, viz : One fight bay
mare, star in the forehead, a white spot back,
of the near ear, the two hind hoofs white, the
oft hind foot a little black under the fetlock,
the other white lo the pastern joint, about five
years old, and about fourteen and a half hands
hiffh. One bay horse, all four feet black up
to the hock and knee, main and tail black, a
grey star on the forehead, a white spoton the
nose between the nostrils, about nine years
old, and about fourteen and a half hands high.
Onebay horse, about twelve years old, left
hind foot white, the other three black, black
main and tail, near fifteen hands high.
The owners are requestad to come forward
prove property, pay charges and take them
away. The above animals are reported to
have been captured by the Lipans from the
Wacoes, and are in charge of Capt. Grumbles.
