Kendalia Community Church

On the 17th day of February, 1886, C. G. Vogel and Ettie
M. Vogel deeded the land for the sum of one dollar to the
trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, A. P. Rose,
John W. Lawhon, T. A. Davis, and Mark Hodgson.
The church was built by Mark Hodgson, carpenter, and
Joseph Simms, Lock mason, and other community helpers.    The
length is  42 feet and the width is 28 feet.   The height is
31 feet. It has wood siding, rock foundation, six (6) windows,
2 doors (front and back), the front door is glass trimmed.
The church is in good condition.
This property has been used, kept and maintained as a
place of DIVINE WORSHIP by the Methodist Episcopal Church,
South, the United Methodist Church, and the Kendalia Community
Center since 1886.
