To the Boards of Control
of Synod's Colleges and Seminaries.
Last year all Synodical Educational Institutions received
a supply of "Building Fund" vouchers. On these appear the regulations
governing their use. Under "Eighthly" it reads: "All items on
Building Fund vouchers shall bear the number of the building order
against which they are drawn". This rule, not enforced till now,
becomes effective as of June 1, 1927.
Enclosed with this letter you will find a blanket order
authorizing you to expend up to a definite sum for minor repairs and
minor items of improvement. It is hoped that this amount will be
sufficient for such minor items during the balance of this year.
Should the amount be insufficient, it will become necessary that you
petition for an additional allowance.
Beginning with June 1, 1927 the Fiscal Office of Synod is not
permitted to mike any payments on building vouchers unless each item
is charged to a definite building order. It, therefore, becomes neces-
sary that you enter the proper order number on the voucher in the col-
umn provided for that purpose. Omission of these numbers will delay
(27-b6) W. HAGEN, Chairman,
Committee on Buildings.
