Dear brother Neeb:
This morning the long-looked-for letter arrived. You will with
all your heart rejoice with me over its arrival.
I should like to acknowledge foceipt of this so welcome letter
at once. However, after comparing our letter of requests with the
answer of Dr. Schulz, I feel that I had better write you first.
Under #4 Dr. Schulz in his letter refers to 17 numbers or
items on our list of requests. My three pages of the copy "To the
Board of Control" contain$ only fifteen numbers. I, therefore, do
not understand the figures 16 and 17. however, 17 a-b-c-d-aay easily
correspond with 15 a-b-c-d-e on my sheet. In that case I would not
be able to determine which of the other fourteen items are granted.
You will, no doubt, be able to interpret the figures under ,/4
in the letter of Dr. Schulz.
Anyway, let me have your answer, so that I can thank Dr. Schulz
for this highly appreciated letter.
When writing to Dr. Schulz I shall not forget to include our
request for ',420.00 to cover the rent subsidy for the steward's
and cook's quarters.

P.S.--Just another thought. - I discussed with Dr. Studtmann th r matter
of a special Joard meeting in order to discuss and prepare an o erture
to Synod. - Dr. Studtmann, who would like to "have a hand" in preparing
this request, must devote his tine to the preparation of his synodical
essay now. Hence, he advises that we prepare our overture for the follow-
ing convention. - I shall, therefore, not call a special Board meeting
before Synod in duly.
