Alphoiise Bertillon, the inventor
of the finger-print system of ident*

quiet, modest man with more the
appearance of a scientist bhan oi

oval face, a pair of serene, dark
eyes, a dark mustache, obviously

Grafted on an Eyelid.
A physician at Hardeaux,
France, waa called on to graft an
eyelid on a man whose face had
been siiockingly burned. As there
was no healthy skin left near the
eye, he partly severed a piece of
skin from the man's left arm and
kept the arm in contact with th#
eye for ten days. The operation
was a complete success.

An English writer in discussing
*"n»e Psychology of the American
Milliona:re," hai this to say : "He
is apt to combine the ethics of an
alligator with the creed of a mem-
ber of the V. M. C. A. And it is
rt>is combination that makes liim
far more formidable than our own
skeptical and cynical cosmopolitan
millionaires, who feel that there can
be no righteousness in a providence
under which they prosper. The
American millionaire gets his
strength from a simple and inheri-
ted pastoral morality, and he uses
that strength to overcome the cor-
rupt inhabitants of cities with their
own weapons. Cynics, diabolists,
haters of their own kind, are always
weakened by the fact that their
faith, however fiitiouslv they may
liold it, is negative and based on
doubt. Rockefeller's faith is posi-
tive and preserves him from all
doubts and scruples. Now that he
is rich beyond all precedent his
wealth, no doubt, seems a proof
that his way oi life is agreeable to
a beneficent Providence."
LION COFFEE
Is another story. The green
berries, sielected l»y keen
jjmlges at the plantation, are
bJvlllluIIy roasted at our fac-
tories, where precautions you
would not dream of are taken
to sit-sure perfect clc^nli&ieis,
iinvur, strength and uniiorxnlty.
From the time the cojfee leaves
the factory no hand touches it till
it is opened in pour kitchen.
This ha* made LION COFFEE the LtAUEX OF ALL MIXICS COfFEES.
Millions of American Homes welcome LION COFFEE daily.
Thera is no stronger proof of merit than continued and increas-
ing popularity. "Quality survives all opposition."
