RON CARTER WINGS OVER HOUSTON AIRSHOW
TAKES TO THE SKIES OCTOBER 25 - 26, 2008
AT ELLINGTON FIELD
USAF Thunderbirds Will Thrill Audiences with Powerful
Demonstrations and Amazing Maneuvers
Mark your calendar now for the
24th Annual Ron Carter Wings
Over Houston Airshow slated for
Saturday, October 25 and Sunday,
October 26 at Ellington Field.
This year's featured military team
is the world's elite air and space
force - the USAF Thunderbirds.
Celebrating 55 years of
representing more than 500,000
airmen and women in the United
States Air Force, the Thunderbirds
continue to represent the best of
the best. The team's breathtaking
aerial maneuvers will defy the
imagination as they exhibit the
capabilities of modern, high
performance aircraft and the high
degree of professional skill
required to operate those aircraft.
The 2008 Ron Carter Wings
Over Houston Airshow will also
feature amazing acrobatic
performances by Sean D. Tucker
and Team Oracle, Julie Clark in
the Chevron Mentor T-34 and Dan
Buchanan as well as Flash Fire Jet
Truck - the world's fastest Chevy
Jet Truck - and military
demonstrations including the
Apache AH64, USAF Heritage
Flight, A-10, F-18, USN Legacy
Flight, USCG Daulphine HH65C,
C-17 and much more.
"Thanks to the community, the
Airshow is celebrating its 24th
year of entertaining audiences and
furthering its mission of aviation
education," said Bill Roach,
executive director of Wings Over
Houston Airshow. "Without the
tremendous support of our more
than two thousand volunteers,
thousands of patrons and
numerous sponsors, the Airshow
would not be possible. We are
extremely appreciative of our
long-standing sponsor
relationships including Ron Carter
Auto Group, Kroger, Houston
Airport System, Silver Eagle
Distributors, KPRC Local 2,
Chevron Global Aviation and the
Greater Houston Convention and
Visitors Bureau as well as the
Cities of Nassau Bay, League City,
Webster and Seabrook."

Wings Over Houston Airshow are
