all fitness levels, begins at
8 a.m.

Receiving the Port Aransas Club’s June residential yard of the month award are Dan and
Debbie Bridge, who live at 310 Mercer St. Their back yard includes a stone path cutting
through a well-maintained grassy area and more than 200 glass bottles recycled for use
as a border along the edge of a garden. Plantings include esperanza, plumbago, ginger,
hibiscus, cannas, bulbine, vinca, oyster plant and queen palms.

12, when the Rich Lockhart
Band performs.
The band plays its own
original songs and covers
of everything from Johnny
Cash to Jimmy Hendricks.
Its music includes classic
Watercolor
workshop
scheduled
A watercolor workshop
with Gerald Bienvenu will be
held Monday, July 15, through
Wednesday, July 17 from 1:30
to 4:30 p.m.
The class is limited to four
students and each student will
get individualized instruction.
The class cost is $200, which
includes all materials needed
to create a painting.
Register and pre-pay for the
class by July 12.
By the end of the three days
each student will have com-
pleted a painting “just as Bien-
venu would paint,” according
to an art center spokesperson.
Bienvenu was born in New
Orleans and has lived much of
his life on the Mississippi Gulf
coast. He currently resides in
Rockport.
