The Sherman Go-Operative Foun-
dry made its first blast Wednesday
evening. Many of our citizens were
present to witness the “boiling iron”
for the first time in Sherman.
Everything went off as well as the
most sanguine expected. Some of
the workmen were new at the busi-
ness and a little afraid. Mr. Dude-'
rick, the superintendent, is a young
man but a first-class mechanic, and
understands his business thoroughly.
Those who have labored so hard for
its success may well feel proud in the
eonsmnation of their woit k, and we
are satisfied they will be well re-
munerated log their labor and ex-
pense.
