A big double-bill for Friday night,
“The- Murder of Dr. Harrigan,” and
“Here Comes Trouble,” a laugh-fill-
ed comedy.
The baffling new mystery emlo-
drama, “The Murder of Dr. Harri-
gan,” is under the auspices of the
Clue Club.
In this picture the plot is woven
around a strange new anaesthetic,
Which the head of drug company
claims as his own, but is the bone
of contention of a number of doc-
tors, who have worked on the for-
mula.
* In the unweaving of the story the
head of the drug company strange-
ly vanishes, as though into thin
air, the doctor who was to ha.ve op-
erated on him Is found mysteriously
murdered by a surgical instrument.
Underlying it all there is a ro-
mantic love story between an in-
terne and a nurse accused of the
murder.
Anything cam happen and does hap-
pen out beyond the twelve mile lim-
it on this liner that has bungling
burglars in the passenger list and
cavorting roughnecks in the crew in
“Here Comes Trouble.”
Paul Kelly as an engineer who
gets in plenty of hot water, while
Arline Judge is his manicure sweet-
ie. Kelly goes ashore after promis-
ing his girl nothing would happen
but.....!
Spanish senoritas get this breezy
sailor Into all sorts of trouble
ashore, and jewel thieves keep him
in mischief aboard ship. And
through it all, Kelly and Miss Judge
are wildly in love, even if they per-
sist in taking it out of each other
with biting comedy and sarcasm.
Mona Barrie, a lovely lady with
"taking ways,” beguiles Kelly into
becoming an unwitting accomplice
In a Jewel robbery, and thus leads
up to the slam-bang climax of th§
picture . In the end, Miss Judge
gets her man, although she has to
lead a platoon of police and Sam-
my Cohen to his rescue.
