agreement with Joe Wood for the use of the property on Garland Road and the
Northwest Hi-hway for a period of three years beginning August 1, 1946 and
terminating July 31, 1949 be approved and the President be aut' or ized to
execute the instrument on behalf of the Park Board.
1208 Main Jtreet- It was moved seconded and carried that contract between the
ark Board and Chris Elson covering the use of the property known as 1208 and
1208-A Main street for the period Au'ust 1, 1946 to December 31, 1949 be arroved
and the President of the Park Board be and is hereby authorized to execute the
instrument for the Park Board of the City of Dallas.
JAMUELL PARK - Development Plans were submitted arm discussed, after v.hich a
meeting was set. for Uctober 30 to inspect the grounds on the site in nomnany w:tL

Kidd Springs. The matter of acquiring Kdd Springs was discussed. IWo action taien.
old WPA Bldg. The matter of allowing the Navy to use the old 6PA Building in Fair
?ark (formerly used by the Naval Reserve in Dallas) was discussed. No action taren.
Inwood Road and Mockingbird Lane - park site. Location in this area for park site
discussed. The Di.ector of Parks reported on the status of ownership after which
he was to attempt to arrive at a fair price on the land and report to the board.
FAIR- The Board granted the Madical Academy permission to continue the op ration
o: the Health Museum in the DomestLc Arts Bg (Inst. Natural Resources) on a temporary
basis beyond Nov. 1, the original termination date, with the understanding that
should the Board desire the use of the building, then the Medic,-2 Academy will r-
