The Free Public Library, established in 1932, was the first public library serving the city of Livingston. Today, it is known as the Livingston Municipal Library and strives to manage materials to meet the needs of its patrons and all the residents of Polk County. The library received a Tocker Foundation grant in 2014 to aid in digitization efforts.
