National Model United Nations
Competition, held Feb. 9-11, in
Stamford, Conn. Playing the
roles of delegates to actual
United Nations member nations,
they represented Croatia and
Pakistan. Husband and wife
Steven and Laura Paletz have
coached the team since 2012.
Laura is an RMBA alumna. This year, three students, Sam Collins, Lilly Gelman and Sam
Gelman, were awarded honorable mention awards in the top five teams at a conference
of more than 50 schools.

Cindy Kasner and her son, Levi, went
shopping. Students have been learning
about living in a community and the
workers and helpers that keep it running.
Recently, the Becker Three’s ventured to
the neighborhood H-E-B and learned how
a grocery store works. They took a tour,
“met” some lobsters and using the money
collected through tzedakah each week,
bought groceries, which they donated to
the Emergency Aid Coalition.
