thians, by Mrs Leona Goodrich
Election of officers followed
the report of the nominating com-
mittee. consisting of Mrs. Smith,
chairman, assisted by Mrs. J. R.
Parish and Mrs. Lane Harris.
Other new officers follow:

vice president; Mrs. M. A. Hall,
fellowship vice president; Mrs. J.
R Parish, ministries vice presi-
dent; Mrs. Archie Womack, ste-

August, upping the city's chandfcs
of setting • pew record tn permits
for a one month period.
In any event, the amount over-
shadows last month * record low
of $45.09ft. * slump which Build-
ing Inspector J W Winfrey at-
tributed to the war scare.
The total so far this month has
reached »150.#23, a figure which
within itself tops the * erage of
$100,000 a month for the first six
months of the year
