The Sweetwater Police Department and
Sweetwater Fire Department will take part in a
benefit basketball game for the West Texas
Children's Advocacy Center at 5 p.m. Saturday,
May 16, 2009, at the Sweetwater High School
Gym, Admission is two toys per person. A conces-
sion stand will be open.
FBC Musical Production
Everyone is invited to attend a free musical pro-
duction entitled In His Own Words at 7 p.m. on
May 16, at the Sweetwater High School
Auditorium, accompanied by students from area
high schools and universities and led by Jonathan
Jones, First Baptist Church minister of worship
and education. The listener hears the message of
Scripture proclaimed through singing and narra-
tion drawn exclusively from the words of Christ.
Dan Gtxller, the composer, whose numerous
arrangements, compositions and orchestrations
have been published extensively, has also worked
on numerous recordings and several tours with
Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Michael W. Smith, CeCe
Winans, Lamelle Harris, Point of Grace, Nickel
Creek and The Katinas.
