Mr. and Mrs. William Ehlinger
were honored with a party on Fr day
evening on their silver wedding anni-
versary. The affair was arranged by
several of their intimate friends and
came as a complete surprise to the
honor guests. Guests were from
Hondo, San Antonio and Devine and
numbere 1 ninety-five. Dancing wa-
enjoyed until midnight when a sup-
per v, as served. A number of lovely
gifts .< < .e presented to Mr. ami Mrs.
Ehlinger.

Mrs. Luellu Ward visited Mrs Mary
Grunewald Sunday. Mrs. Grunewald’s
health is improving.
Mrs. William Faseler has been on
the sick list for the past several
months. We are hoping she will be
convalescent soon.

Cemetery at 3:00. The funeral ser-

road district No. 2 on February 3.
It is for the purpose of issuing $C0,-

right-of-way purposes and also for
the building of farm to market
roads in that district which includes
LaCoste, Dunlay, Castroville and
some other communities. If the elec-
tion carries it will mean the building >
of a new bridge across ths Medina
river and the straightening of high
way 90 through the town of Castro-
