Henderson - Taylor Wed
Miss Mary Kathlene Hender-
son became the bride of Tommy
Dennis Taylor, Saturday, Dec. 27
in Iowa.
Mrs. Taylor
The newlyweds parents are
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Field Hen-
derson of 7747 Renwick in Hous-
ton and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Tav-
lor of 1032 Chattherton,Grinnell,
Iowa.
For her wedding Miss Hender-
son selected a formal gown of
candlelight peau de soie with
Alencon lace.
The empire bodice was out-
lined with lace, a high Victorian
lace neckline with late Juliet
sleeves.
She carried gold and yellow
mums upon a white bible.
Maid of honor was Miss Bar-
bara Henderson, sister of the
bride.
Her bridesmaid was Judy Al-
len of Ft. Worth. They wore for-
mal gowns of gold Victorian styl-
ed morie taffeta with green vel-
vet cumberbuns, and each car-
ried a single gold mum.
The wedding reception was in
the home of the grooms parents.
Miss Henderson is a graduate
of Westbury High School.
Library Plans Mime Show
The Walter Branch Library
will present Mrs Doerte Egils-
son in a program of Mime on the
evening of Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
The program will include a
film on the lively art of Mime,
the language without speech, as
seen in the theatre today.
Mrs. Egilsson is assistant pro-
fessor of drama at the Univer-
sity of Houston. She has been a
student of the famous French
mime, Marcel Marceau.
Before coming to Houston, she
had played the leading role in the
German version of the “Diary of
Anne Frank."
Sweetheart Dance
Scheduled Feb. 7
The Women’s Club of Corpus
Christi Catholic Church will
hold its annual Parish Semi-
Formal Sweetheart dance Satur-
day, Feb. 7, from 9 p.m. until
I a.m,, in the Parish Hall, 4001
Cheena.
Mrs. Egilsson and her mime
troop at the University of Hous-
ton have been honored with an
invitation to perform at the Edin-
burg festival next summer.
Mrs. Egilsson and her husband
then expect to return to Germany
to live.
