Stickers Free
Safety stickers that reflect head-
lights of automobiles are available
free at any of the four Montgom-
ery Ward stores in Houston and
Pasadena.
These stickers are approximate-
ly six inches in diameter and are
printed in a black ink containing a
glass compound which makes them
reflect light. Montgomery Ward had
them printed to give to parents
who will have children out “trick
or treating" on Halloween night.
The back of the "Safe and Seen
Safety Sticker” pulls off and the
sticker readily adheres to the
costume or clothing of the child.
When placed on a child’s back, the
child is easily seen by motorists
in ample time to stop.
“Youngsters are apt to get car-
ried away with the excitement of
Halloween. Frequently they are
wearing masks that reduce their
vision considerably. Should they
dart into the street unexpectedly,
a motorist has a difficult time
seeing them,” said W.D. Davis,
District Manager of Montgomery
Ward.
“We hope all parents who expect
to have youngsters out on Hallo-
ween will stop by any Ward store
and get a free sticker. We want
Houston children to have a ‘safe
and seen’ Halloween.’’ concluded
