Nutritional counseling teaches clients and their families what foods and cooking methods can help them stay healthy.
Who can get this benefit?
Clients with any of the problems listed
below may be able to use these services:
O Heart problems
O Problems with eating
O Trouble digesting food
O Blood pressure problems
O Kidney disease
> Unusual weight or weight gain
If you do not see your problem on this
list, ask your doctor if you or your child
can use this benefit. You can also call us

What are the limits to this benefit?
You can get:
> One hour of services to test your nutrition needs every year
O Three hours of services to retest your nutrition needs every year
O Four visits for counseling about your nutrition needs every year
Your doctor must request prior authorization if you need more visits. M
