When the recounting of votes had
been concluded for Ihe day, twenty-
two boxes had been re-canvassed,
which showed a gain of twenty for
Hearst. So far 48 boxes have been
counted, which gives Hearst a gain
of 107.

convention, but the rules were sus
pended and ihe motion carried by a
large majority.
A resolution providing for state

Rev, W. T. Antis of Hot Springs, but

it was sent to the committee on reso-
lutions. which is taken to mean i,s

Nevada Democrats’ Platform .
Carson, Nev., June 2.—The platform
was adopted by the state Democratic
convention yesterday expressing sor-
iow at the recent death of Governor
Sparks, the platform endorses Gov.
Dickerson and promises him the
party’s support, renews the demand
for tariff revision, denounces the Al
drich-Vreeland law. recently enacted,
and commends railroad rate regula-
tion. It callw for amendment of the
interstate commerce act and lauds
Bryan and Instructs the delegates to
vote for him as a unit.
Washington. June 2.- A complaint
unique in the annals ol the interstate
commerce commission was filed today.

the Adams Express company and ihe
Northern Pacific Express company.'
The complaint is i-nt«-red by Secre-
tary Metcalf in his official capacity as
secretary of the navy ami is a pro-
test against what is termed the ex-
cessive, unreasonable and unjust
charges on naval stores between
Washington. 1). (' . and Bremerton,
Wash.
Jt appears that certain naval sup-
plies were shipped b> express from.
Washington on which the charge was
$ 11.7a per hundred pounds The com-
plaint alleges that the charge should
have been not more than -Dnsr. per
hundred pounds and reparation is de-
manded to the amount of SlTlni on
the shipment.
